Sustainable Happiness 20hr Certificate

We have been offering Sustainable Happiness Certificate programs through Dawson College since 2015, with a diversity of participants from across Canada. With the launch of the Sustainable Happiness Institute in 2023, we have been able to offer certification through the institute and assemble cohorts of participants globally.

The certificate is reviewed and updated by the Sustainable Happiness Institute with each offering to ensure participants are introduced to the latest developments from the rapidly evolving fields of positive psychology, environmental sustainability, and well-being. The syllabus is designed to help participants build a foundational understanding of Sustainable Happiness. With a focus on applied education, the course content and assignments will help participants identify opportunities for improving their personal and professional well-being while contributing to more sustainable practices. This is accomplished in part through the development and implementation of a Sustainable Happiness project which can be completed individually or in groups. The diversity of projects that we have witnessed is extraordinary! Past group projects include The Colleges and Institutes Canada Olympics, and the Dawson College Gratitude Wall while individual projects have included growing food to share with community centres, building a self-care routine, and creating challenges that engage staff and students with nature learning. We have been amazed at the creativity and commitment that emerges through this 20-hour program and look forward to seeing what your project will be!
